Traffic cameras show the current state of city streets and motorways directly from official sources. This category brings together city and highway cams in Turkey alongside those of US state transport departments, Canadian road agencies, the road authorities of Nordic countries such as Finland, Sweden and Norway, and Spain's traffic directorate, the DGT. Junctions, bridge approaches, motorway sections and the roads leading to border crossings can all be checked in near real time.

Drivers use these cams before a commute or a long trip to spot congestion, see whether an accident is blocking a lane, check road conditions such as snow, rain or fog, and judge the queue at a border crossing. Some cameras provide still images refreshed every few minutes instead of video, and feeds may pause at night, during maintenance or at the agency's discretion. Every camera has a short code: the Turkish province plate number or the country code, plus a camera number (e.g. 16-019). Type the code, a road (I-95, M25, D-100), a district or a junction.
