Uludağ, rising south of Bursa, is the highest mountain in Turkey's Marmara region and was known in antiquity as the Mysian Olympus. It is home to one of the country's oldest and best-known ski resorts; its summit area is blanketed in deep snow in winter, while in summer cool air and wide views draw hikers.
