Eskikaraağaç is a village on the shore of Lake Uluabat in the Karacabey district of Bursa, where many white storks nest every year. It became known across Turkey through the unusual friendship between fisherman Adem Yılmaz and Yaren, a stork that has returned each spring for years. Yaren's habit of following the fisherman's boat has won many hearts.
