Salacak, in the Üsküdar district where the Bosphorus opens into the Sea of Marmara, is one of Istanbul's best-loved waterfront promenades. The Maiden's Tower rises just offshore, and across the water stretches the skyline of the Historic Peninsula with Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
