Eminönü is one of the busiest waterfront squares of Istanbul's Historic Peninsula, set where the Golden Horn meets the Bosphorus. The New Mosque (Yeni Cami), the Spice Bazaar and the Galata Bridge all come together here, and the ferry piers link the old city with Üsküdar, Kadıköy and the Bosphorus.

Broadcast by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the camera shows the crowds around the piers, pedestrians along the shore and the general scene towards the Galata Bridge, handy before catching a ferry. Late afternoon is especially rewarding, when the sun sets over the Golden Horn, the bridge and mosque lights come on and ferries criss-cross the water among the gulls.
