Beyazıt Tower is a historic fire-watch tower rising within Istanbul University's main campus in Beyazıt. Built so that fires could be spotted early across an old Istanbul full of wooden houses, it stands on one of the highest points of the Historic Peninsula and remains a familiar feature of the city's skyline.
This Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality camera offers a wide view from the tower over the rooftops and domes of the Historic Peninsula towards the Golden Horn.
