Beyazıt Square on Istanbul's Historic Peninsula lies between the monumental main gate of Istanbul University and the Beyazıt Mosque, one of the earliest imperial mosques of the Ottoman city. Once the site of the Byzantine Forum of Theodosius, it is a short walk from the Grand Bazaar and the old book market, Sahaflar Çarşısı.

This Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality camera shows pedestrians, students, visitors and pigeons crossing the square as the day unfolds.
